Naming the inheritance after the disposition form

Documents to be submitted

1. Photocopy of Disposal Form
2. Leaf note of the deed form (should be within 03 months)
3. Request letter from the heirs / original heirs
4. If the inheritance is named, the named form
5. Original birth certificate of the original heir if the applicant is a child
6. If the applicant is a spouse / Original copy of the marriage certificate of the original heir
7. Affidavit if there is a change in names
8. Original Certificate of Death of the Defender and Spouse
9. An affidavit stating that the spouse has not remarried if the original inheritance is required

Nomination of a successor in the disposition form 

Documents to be submitted with the application

1. Photocopy of the disposal form (should be certified by the Grama Niladhari)
2. Leaflet note (must be within 03 peace)
3. Copies and originals of the child's birth certificates nominated by a successor
4. If the spouse names the successor, a copy of the marriage certificate
5. An affidavit if there is a change of name
6. 04 copies of ඉ.කො.නි.සා 02 completed correctly

Certification of the original inheritance of a grant issued under the Land Development Ordinance 

Documents to be submitted

1. Request letter
2. Copy of the grant
3. Copy of the sheet (from the first registration to the end of the grant)
4. Original death certificate of the grant holder
5. Copy of the death certificate of the spouse of the grant holder
6. Document proving the relationship of the applicant to the grant holder Birth / Marriage certificate
7. Affidavit proving to be the legal heir in the absence of birth / marriage certificates
8. In cases where the inheritance is named, ඉ.කො. 155 form
9. Affidavits confirming the legal heir
10. Affidavits for change of names in the documents submitted
11. Copy of the National Identity Card of the applicant
12. Grama Niladhari certified form

* NB: In the absence of death certificates / birth certificates, submit an affidavit with blank results.

Nomination of inheritance after a grant / license issued under the Land Development Ordinance 

Documents to be submitted

1. Gift / Deed of Assignment / Original Inheritance Photocopies
2. Photocopies of National Identity Cards of the Heirs after naming the complete sheets related to the land
3. Original Certificates of Birth Certificates / Marriage Certificates / Land Registrar to prove the kinship of the heirs
4. Affidavits if there is a change in names
5. Succession nomination forms completed correctly as instructedර
6. If the naming is done according to a plan, a copy of it
7. Recommendation of the Grama Niladhari

* NB : All photocopies should be certified by the Grama Niladhari as an authentic copy and submitted.

Request for life enjoyment of a grant issued under the Land Development Ordinance 

For the enjoyment of life in a grant land, the relevant forms should be submitted along with the following documents.The necessary instructions can be obtained from the Grama Niladhari of the division.

1. Request letter to the Divisional Secretary to obtain the enjoyment of life. (should be certified and submitted by the Grama Niladhari).
2. copy of the grant form Certified by the Grama Niladhari
3. The original copy of the application form related to the grant should be submitted and this form should be submitted with the signature of His Excellency the President during all the period from the date of first registration to the present day registration.
4. Copy of the death certificate of the grant holder
5. Marriage certificate
6. Applicant's (who request enjoyment of life) Copy of National Identity Card certified by the Grama Niladhari 
7. In case of non-registration of births, marriages and deaths, a formal affidavit should be submitted along with the blank result sheet of the document search (an affidavit certified by a Justice of the Peace signed on stamps of Rs.50/= and Grama Niladhari report should be submitted and if the Grama Niladhari report does not belong to this division, it should be signed by the Divisional Secretary of the relevant Divisional Secretariat and submitted)
8. Certified copy of the birth certificate of a child by the Grama Niladhari in case the absence of the marriage certificate
9. If there is any discrepancy in the information mentioned in the documents submitted, an affidavit certified by a Justice of the Peace signed on a stamp of Rs. 50 / = and a Grama Niladhari report should be submitted for the change.
10. Certified copy of the National Identity Card by the Grama Niladhari.

Acquisition of land / part of land related to the grant / deed of transfer 

1. Request letter to the Divisional Secretary for the transfer of lands should be certified by the Grama Niladhari and submitted. The whole land or  a part of the land is transferred, the extent of the land to be transferred should be mentioned in the request letter.
2. Certified copy of the grant by the Grama Niladhari
3. The original copy of the deed relating to the grant should be submitted and the deed should be signed with the signature of His Excellency the President during all the period from the date of first registration to the present day of registration.
4. Copy of the deed and the relevant deed to prove that there are lands other than the land to be transferred to the transferor (if a portion of the land is transferred, it is not necessary to submit documents to prove that the transferor has other lands).
5. If the land is transferred to a relative
   Documents should be submitted to prove the relationship (to a child / grandson / granddaughter / brother / sister).
6. Letters of consent of the spouse and children regarding the transfer of the land should be certified and submitted by the Grama Niladhari.
7. An original copy of the marriage certificate to prove the spouse
   Original birth certificates to prove that they are children
8. කැමැත්ත ප්‍රකාශිත ලිපි ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමේදී එම අය මෙම කොට්ඨාශයේ පදිංචි නොමැති නම් පදිංචි වසමේ ග්‍රාම නිලධාරි මගින් සහතික කර එම කොට්ඨාශයේ ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් මගින් අනු අත්සන් කරවා ඉදිරිපත් කල යුතුය.If they are not residing in this division, they should be certified the Letters of Consent by the Grama Niladhari of the division and submitted with the signature of the Divisional Secretary of their residential division.
9. Copies of death certificates should be certified and submitted by the Grama Niladhari to prove that the spouse and children have died.
10. Letter certifying by the Grama Niladhari that the land is clearly enjoyed.
11. Letter obtained stating that the transferee has no other lands (If it is not applicable to this division, it should be signed and submitted by the Divisional Secretary of the relevant division)
12. If there is a change in the names of the documents submitted, an affidavit certified by a Justice of the Peace signed on a stamp of Rs. 50 for the change.
13. In cases where birth, marriage and death documents are not registered, an affidavit should be submitted along with the blank results of the search.
14. Copies of the National Identity Cards of the Transferee and the Transferee should be certified and submitted by the Grama Niladhari.
15. The transferee must certify and submit an affidavit by a Justice of the Peace (to the whole island) stating that he has no other land.
16. If the transferee resides in another division Grama Niladhari reports obtained from the relevent division  should be signed and submitted by the relevant Divisional Secretary with details of the income of the transferee and the spouse  and / the clarification that he/she not owned any other land 
17. If the transferee is unmarried, the parents' income, and details of other lands owned by the parents should be submitted by residential Grama Niladhari as a report and should be signed by the relevant Divisional Secretary

Grant land to be pledged by a financial institution 

Under the Land Development Act to guarantee a grant , the relevant form should be submitted along with the following documents. The Grama Niladhari of the division can obtain the necessary instructions to complete these forms.

1. Request letter to the Divisional Secretary for guarantee a grant should be certified by the Grama Niladhari.
2. Certified copy of the grant by the Grama Niladhari
3. If there is a certificate to ownership, a certified copy
4. deed/Form obtained from the Land Registrar's Office
5. Letter from the bank (Must be an approved financial institution)
6.  Grant holder's National Identity Card  (certified by the grama niladhari)
7. Affidavits declaring the consent of the spouse and children
